Mini One Oil Change Mini Clubman Oil Change Not Until 15,000!? Does This Sound Right?

Mini Clubman oil change not until 15,000!? Does this sound right? - mini one oil change

My mother bought a Mini Clubman in June It currently has 9k miles on it and did not have to change the oil. When he bought the vehicle in which the sales person said, he can go 20k without an oil change. He called his schedule for the first and says they can up to 15K. It can put anywhere, but the dealer, as it will void the warranty. Should any of the mini owners do not know if this vehicle damage if you wait so long? Damn, if you buy a new, if the warranty is three years.

You can not void the warranty if you did maintenance work outside the concession, provided that the maintenance is documented. Do not let anyone tell you otherwise.

BMW has not been kind enough to confirm to offer a maintenance program for the car still does not Mitchell, but this information is made available to the user guide. My guess is that BMW is offering on some sort of maintenance program where you pay for an oil change - which means it will have to be more frequent. When you click on the manufacturer's recommendations for vehicle-service intervals to keep, you are no problems with the warranty if something goes wrong. The auto manufacturers are not only this s --- up, you make millions of miles of TES in the real worldting to determine the optimal service intervals.

Are we talking about miles or kilometers? That is a lot of miles on an oil change. There are no sanctions against the oil change too early. I want to speak to someone higher on the Mini.
Some of the new cars the signal when it's time for a post oil change on the board. The computerized records of the times, began in which the vehicle over a period of time, the time he ran, and what the engine temperature reached during execution, and when you stop and go or highway. These criteria will be measured by the computer to determine if the oil should be changed.
15K miles can be precise, because the car probably need a synthetic oil that can wait longer between changes.

The big names of dealers and repair shops with cheap oil, at best, I personally would not as long between oil changes when it is done, the garage. Never heard a car that is Comfortablely over 10 km between changes. The oil filter is also changed.
If I am your mother, I change the oil itself - it is not hard to do. Make sure you buy good quality oil, however.
